Home/School Cooperation

The Lord Jesus, through His Word, binds the Christian home and school together with one and the same central purpose when He said, “These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.” (Deuteronomy 6:6-7). Parents dare not give up this God-given responsibility when they send their children to Trinty Lutheran School. The school’s role, on the other hand, is to support the parents in carrying out their responsibility to provide for their children’s eternal welfare and, at the same time offer a quality education.

To that end, parents and teachers must cooperate. The responsibility is far too great without mutual support. Cooperation is possible when home and school shares the same aims and objectives; aims and objectives which derive from Holy Scripture. Parents surely will be interested in learning more about the school and its curriculum.

PARENTS CAN HELP THEIR CHILD

1. Let the Word of God be the guide in all phases of daily life.

2. Hold regular family devotions and table prayers.

3. Pray for the success of your child, the school, and its staff.

4. Regularly attend worship services.

5. Encourage you child to respect parents, teachers and other in authority.

6. Encourage your child to be courteous and considerate of others.

7. Make sure your child develops promptness and is regular in school attendance.
