OUR CREED ABOUT THE
TRINITY
We believe that God the
Father loves his whole creation, and he proved this
love
(John
3:16)
by sending his son Jesus Christ to us. Jesus came to
fulfill
(John
5:39)
the prophecies of God’s Word. Jesus’ life and death overcame the curse of
our sin and therefore God loves to hear and answer all prayers offered
through our Savior.
(1Timothy 2:5)
We believe that Jesus
Christ was perfect from conception and lived his whole life without sin.
Everything we failed to do, he accomplished
perfectly.
(Hebrews 4:15). He sacrificed this perfect life to defeat our sin, and
his body was raised from the dead to defeat
death
(1
Corinthians 15:20-21)
forever. This is how Jesus forgave the
world
(John
1:29).
Faith in Jesus brings
eternal life
(John
11:25-26).
We believe that the Holy
Spirit works as true God to create and strengthen our faith in Christ. He
uses his powerful tools:
His Word
(Romans
10:17),
Baptism
(1 Peter
3:21, Titus 3:5b, Galatians
3:26-27) and
Lord’s Supper
(Matthew 26:28) to do this. The Bible clearly says the Holy Spirit
lives
(1
Corinthians 6:19)
in all who believe. As our comforting
companion
(John
14:26),
the Holy Spirit guides us to be a blessing for our community and especially
for the fellowship of believers.
